Without Sanctuary
remains one of the most powerful and humbling collections ever assembled.  The photographic and postcard images of murdered victims and the associated onlookers continue to illustrate the depth of violence and inhumanity that can be reached.

The French city of Arles, which maintains many ancient Roman ruins, hosts one of the most important international photography exhibitions each year.  As part of their offerings, human rights collections are displayed and discussed.  The Center for Civil and Human Rights is honored to partners with the Arles Festival to bring over 70 images of the Without Sanctuary collection for display from July - Sept.  As part of the opening, Doug Shipman, Exec. Director of the Center and James Allen, the orginal collector of the Without Sanctuary collection will be traveling to France to educate and participate in the opening activities.  Doug will be providing updates on the conversations and reactions regarding the collection throughout the week of July 6-12.  You can follow updates on Twitter @dougcchr and through frequent blog posts here.

My husband and I saw the exhibit yesterday in Arles. Since Toulouse is the second largest university city in France, with 14 universities and since we are Atlanta's sister-city, is there any chance that "Without Sanctuary" can come to Toulouse???
