The High Museum is opening two new exhibits collectively entitled "History Remixed" this Saturday. The two exhibitions offer fresh insights and exploration of the modern Civil Rights movement.
The first is a groundbreaking exhibition of Civil Rights Photography. This exhibition curated by Julian Cox (who has done a wonderful job of pulling together many previously unseen photos).
The second is a response by current artists on the legacy of Civil Rights entitled After 1968. These artists use multi-media approaches to exploring Rights issues today.
The New York Times ran an extensive piece on the two exhibitions in the Sunday, June 1st arts section. Find it here
Check it out-- it runs June 7-Oct 5 and tickets are available.
